Return of Reckoning

Hello, everyone!

I was a player during launch, but life took a toll and I couldn't play for a while. Fast forward a few years and tried to get into it again. The wife put a stop to it, as we didn't have the finances to pay for the subscription. Fast forward to this passed February and find that the servers had been shut down. I was feeling lost and hopeless. Then! Come back to look for more news about the game, hoping that they decided to sell to an indie to find this: Return of Reckoning!

I want to say for the team/studio/individual that is tackling this job, "Thank you very much!" I am hoping that I can get the issue with my launcher resolved so that I may again grace the battlefields! I am looking forward to seeing you guys in game!

Its a team of 5, if you are just starting and havent made any chars yet heres a small advice, dont do any of the quests and stuff (except the repeat able kill quests given in the war camps in t1), just play scs and RvR and power level to 12 to reach t2; b/c t1 is mostly dead since vast majority of population is in t2

I appreciate the advice, Coryphaus. At the moment, I have to work on getting my launcher to load the game. When I attempted to launch the game, I got an error. I didn't have time to copy/paste the error, as I was hoping to be able to start playing when I got to my hotel in NOLA. Well, that said, tonight, I plan on playing some after I get the situation rectified.

I downloaded the torrent, dropped the launcher in the file, and tried to launch. That's when I got the error.

I will see you guys on the battlefields soon enough!

Oh, another question...I didn't see why they capped the level at 20. Anyone care to elaborate for me as I am at work? If not, I will search it out when I have time after work. Thanks!

I remember reading some where on the forums that you have to right-click the program "RoRLauncher" go down to properties and check "Read-only". Also you have to run the launcher as admin.

Edit:Or it could be the folder you have everything placed in. Try right clicking the folder you put all the files and launcher into and go down to properties and check "Read-only".

The reason the server is capped at 20 atm is tha the devs are rebuilding the games "code" from the ground up they don't have the acctully information on how the abilities and stuff are supposed to interact with the server so they need to recode a lot of stuff so that brings us to level 21.

At 21 you are able to get your first mastery ability and not all the classes abilities are working correctly so in order for it to be fair we are capped at 20 atm, once the devs fix all the abilities the cap will be raised again

Run the launcher as administrator, and make sure the game folder "Read only" is disabled. It's all covered in the FAQ on the tech support forum.
