Return of Reckoning

It's been almost 2 years since city sieges released. Nobody really cares about doing them anymore. ORvR is bread and butter of this game, it's what absolutely everyone can enjoy. Currently gearing alts is incredibly time consuming, with odd time cities being a necessary evil. PLEASE turn shards into full crests so gearing is accelerated and people have good motivation to play the core content of the game.

Delete solo ranked, delete cities, delete forts, enjoy 2k+ pop 24/7.

Pretty simple, game is not a solo game. Should only incentivise grouping up.

City is a complete waste of time that literally disables RVR for like 2 hours, and most instances are boring and one sided.

Forts are usually a complete mess too. Anyone who played them will realise.

Only time fort is interesting when you take wyverns to the top as attackers. Otherwise you are just standing in doorway for ages, hitting a pve lord, or doing nascar for first stage.

Huh? Delete all variety of end game content so that we have infinity open rvr with no conclusion, will generate a 2k steady population?

There is truth to it though. City was easily the worst thing to be added to ROR so far. I would blame part of the population drop on the super long sovereign grind that is artificially inflated by cities at random times. People get frustrated with no progress and give up even if the gear wouldn't actually impact their playstyle. It should have been scheduled to happen at specific times from the beginning instead of the 3 am city bs because prime time rvr and forts just grind progress to a halt.

Not to mention the huge 3+ month grind that is the giant gate to actually doing 6v6 because anything less these days is just not viable vs everyone having 5 sov 4 ranked.

Totally disagree, cities are not a necessary anything if willing to work on it for few months. Bags from orvr + shards / crests from kills are good enough.

Totally disagree, you wont get full sov from a few months of bags in oRvR and shards. Your own strapline says that exact thing!


Drop more crests in RvR. Make city what it should be - a competitive 24 man event. At the moment its sweaty order bringing their full sov rr80s and destro queue dodging to try to get the gear. No real fun for anyone. Unless you are a no lifer and can make the random city times, the sov grind in this game is possibly the worst grind in MMO history!
