Return of Reckoning

I quitted game like 2 years ago (RL stuf) and now i see server still online.

I read in the forums that basically if you play non melee dps (as dps ofc!) you are basically a free walking kill for enemy team, especially in cities and forts.

SH ranged is viable?
Magus? What happened to him? Riftstorm spec is still viable? I read both engi and magus have been hugely nerfed. What those nerfs are about?

magus/Eng remain niche classes, people that play them, enjoy the lore/feel of the classe. Otherwise other classes usually do it better. All classes have a role to play, ranged do well in ORvR sieges etc, cities are a bit more of a challenge. Overall most classes are viable, just some do it better.

SH is viable, very squishy, but hits hard and has very good kiting kit. Not very sought after in warbands though, there you might wanna spec it melee, which is also very much viable. What mSH lacks in CC it does kind of replace with raw damage, with Chop Fasta Choppa damage goes to 11.
