Return of Reckoning

Going to be downloading this soon and in most MMOs it seems tank/healer are on the low end of player % so just wanted to know whats needed more across both PvE/PvP?

depends on faction you'll play. to me it seems Order usually lack tanks, while Destruction usually lack healers.

We lack healers that heal.

Healer for sure for PvE (as it's much harder to run single healer than single tank), PvP it's about the same.

Just bear in mind this is a pvp focused game (for 99% of players) so just try both in pvp for a bit and see what you prefer there and don't worry about pve side.

Appreciate all the feedback. Just downloaded this morning and asked in game as well and everyone was saying healers. Leveling up a Zealot.

des is fine if anything it feels short on mdps much of the time. order lacks proper healers, dps ams are an absolute plague

I’ve had this discussion in region before, so I may as well offer up an opinion here as well. As an AM player, I found it exceedingly annoying to sit around for large portions of my play time attempting to find even PUGs to heal. As a result, I decided to go DPS. Every time I log on to him though, I offer to heal in /5. If I get no replies, which is often the case, then I spend the rest of my time playing as DPS. You might be surprised how many of those “DPS” AMs are competent healers willing to heal, if only someone would let them.

I don’t think the Order issue is really a lack of a certain class, when I’m playing. It’s a lack of willingness to form groups. I don’t know many people that are going to sit in /5 and beg people to play a support character when they can just go off spec and still make progress.

its no different on des, its just that if you throw a bunch of random des classes together it'll probably work due to their penchant for dps tanks and dedicated healers whereas the reverse is true for order with their tendency to stack rdps and dps healers. order has had an average of 3/4 dps ams for the event sc all day and they might as well have not even shown up

In my experience, it’s very different. I’m easily able to find groups to heal on my shaman, if that’s what I’m looking to do that particular day. There are groups forming in /5 all the time for roaming/SCs, and there seem to be way more PUG WBs up as well.
