Can someone explain?

Hi. Got insta-killed in an SC, full HP. It may happen if u get focused, but this time was basically by one only ranged character, and my doubts came when I looked the Combat Log.
If there is a GCD (1 second or 1'5, dont remember right now), how can the combat log show 5 skills from the same character hitting me in less than 2 seconds, being the first skills hitting me?

That's not an answer. I know their bust damage is huge. But look the log, 5 skills under 2 seconds with GCD.

Swell of gloom is a tactic that makes gloomburst do extra dmg. So Gloomburst + Swell of Gloom is one ability. Frozen touch is an aura that gives a small chance of dmg with each ability it isnt an action. So all 3 of those first abilities is just gloomburst with 2 procs.
Doombolt is an ability with a flight time so its cast and then flies to you before doing dmg around 1or2 seconds. Gloomburst hits you as soon as its cast.
So you use doombolt and while its flying over you cast gloomburst and they hit you at the same time.
Impending doom is an ability that is like a ticking time bomb. So you cast it and after x seconds it goes off and causes dmg.
So he pressed impending doom, used doombolt as it was flying he used gloomburst (which procced 2 side effects) and they all were timed to hit you at the same time.

Gloomburst 1s cast, swell of gloom is a tactic DoT from Gloomburst, Frozen Touch is an aura, Gloombolt is 3s cast, Impending doom is an instant cast. With Focused Mind procced, it's possible to cast that within 1-2 seconds. Also that was only ~3k damage he did. That's nothing. If a Sorc or BW timestamps you and get's their full rotation off, you're looking at a burst of 4-6k damage or higher.

There is a global cooldown of 1.5 seconds. However, not all abilities hit instantly. Sorcs and Bright Wizards are often firing magic projectiles at you and those projectiles move at different speeds depending on the ability. When the correct rotation is used, you cast the abilities in order of the slowest projectile speed to the fastest, which results in all of the projectiles hitting at roughly the same time even though they were cast 1.5 seconds apart. This is known as "time-stamping" as all of the damage shows up in the combat log as happening at the same time.
In the above example, the 3 abilities used are: Gloomburst, Doombolt and Impending Doom. Doombolt takes 3 seconds to cast (2 GCD), and the other two are both one GCD each (1s cast and instant). Additionally, Gloomburst triggered 2 different kinds of bonus damage which is why it looks like you were hit 5 times when you were actually hit 3 times. The first bonus damage was from Frozen Touch which is a buff that has a 25% chance of triggering whenever the Sorcs deals direct damage. The second bonus damage is from the "Swell of Gloom" tactic which makes Gloomburst deal bonus damage when it hits while also hurting the Sorc who cast it.
Sorcs and Bright Wizards can do even bigger burst damage than the screenshot above as they also have skills that do delayed damage, i.e. it hits you now but does damage 5 seconds later if not cleansed by a healer. These get combined with casting projectiles that move at different speeds for big damage.

Little add to this, Sorc was assisting with SH, to avoid giving warning to your healers, some sorc skip Word of Pain (5s effect with dmg at end) and "timestamp" few abilities.
Like mentioned before:
Doombolt 3s cast + flytime, Gloomburst 1s cast + tactic proc + Impending Doom instant. All 3 can land in same second of combat if spammed right. All are from same tree, so if maxed out can kill tunnelvisioned dps in a blink. To avoid this, spec at least 0 to be crit (mouseover initiative on char screen), always check for sorcs + SHs on playerlist, be aware they can do this, use pre - detaunt, kill line of sight. Dont focus on one target. Always watch for sides. I had same problem with my SH at rr 40-65. Rdps usually got little wounds on gear. 6k+ HP is really not enough to survive any burst of dps. I was dying like fly to any WL/WH. Now I dont move from warcamp witout 9k HP.

You should toggle off other heals or it just floods your combat log with unimportant stuff.

Yeah, 6k wounds is a glass cannon which doesn't really survive the current meta. You want at least 8k as a DPS, 9k is better.
