Hands down WL or mara? And either one or more one of the alternative?

I mean play what you enjoy. White lion is good for 1v1 while still wanted in wb more than say wh or we. If you ever get opened up on while solo rolling by a witch elf then you can counterburst. Mara is the destro equivalent if you prefer destro, more of an allrounder rather than 1v1 powerhouse like white lion.

AM/shaman are probably best pick, though healing on those is not easy. They are the most potent healing class when played properly tho. All tanks can do decently (almost-khm*kotbs*khm) when roaming and are wanted in warbands, pretty gear dependent however. WL is a good pick, but due to damage profile diff and different mobility options marauder is not. Runepriest ive seen being played solo to some success, zealot much less cause damage is lower. DoK and wp can both be played solo to some effect and in warbands, though i rarely see them these days and i dont know why. magus finally is amazing solo class in correct build, and will usually find a spot in warbands when AoE specced (they stack bad tho, so only one spot for a WB most of the times), engi is worse but still good - and overpopulated, so youre less than likely to find a wb spot. Other classes can work, the diffculty will just be significantly higher.

Edit: marauder is not a particularly good solo class, but it is superior AoE leeching class which does matter for solo play. It also matches terribly bad against WHs, which is a serious issue here.

Yeah, ill have to agree with cyr. Just threw mara in there incase you wanted a good allrounder on destro.

Edit: he is solid in pug groups and scs because of his self substain healing and tankyness. Still a great pick for solo players who do scs and pugs, just not 1v1 god.

Mara is just about the worst class you can pick...while they fair well in duels against destro classes they are hard countered by WH and Slayer, generally aren't favoured to beat WL either and solo build maras will just have endless fights with tanks/healers. You can kill RDPS...just like any melee roamer can (maybe if you get badly outplayed and can't regen enough you will die to RDPS).

Shaman is pretty much the god of solo play with AM pretty close behind. Otherwise WH is probably the most fun and still very high tier (you also get stealth so you won't endlessly suffer from getting ran over by zerg balls) WE is ok too if you want to play destro but solo WE kill time is very slow so its boring to some. (It does take more skill to play well solo than WH though)

I personally think order classes do have a slight edge in solo play overall. But then again they have to deal with Shaman who is the best of the best...
