I'm a KotBS and someone told me to keep my crit chance 0% for PvE. Isn't more crit chance better?

Obviously it's meant to reduce YOUR chances to be crit to 0%, by using futile strikes renown and/or liniments.
Not to get your own melee crit chances to zero.

You can check your chance to be crit by hovering over your initiative, pve mobs don't have their own crit chance, so can only crit you if your chance to be crit is above 0.
Bosses high base dmg means a crit or two will likely kill you.

OK, Thank you. I get it. I'm a tank. Do I need to increase my initiative?

Personally never added initiative from talis, renown or set bonus and at R50 you can get 4 Reflexes and 3 FS, then stack wounds to 10k.
Which should be enough.
Then there's the Peerless Defense lini if you are still dying to crits.

Generally, i think the sweet number for the initiative is around 250+ to make all your -crit things worth it. I believe that is close to the number of initiative debuffs you may see.
