I lost the name, Lizzo, for my WE. I renamed her Amygoodman. Lizzo and Amy Goodman are basically the same person, so it worked out in the end.

Any name of a character that has not logged in over 1 year period gets released.
(a quick check of armoury point to your names being released but not claimed - try to rename into what you already had or add a letter to it and later try to rename with .changename command in game)

GM confirmed that armory is not reliable to check whether names are actually taken. Tried your workaround but sadly without success, duplicate name(s).

I lost a few names I had on live. It has taken me a year, but I check about every 2 or 3 weeks for the name to be free and I have been successful in getting all names back.

Be the one to upset the next person when they come back 2 years from now and asks where the name Halvar went to.
