BG ends when the pre-game countdown timer ends

I got muted and queued up for 2 bgs. Both times they ended right when the gates opened and I got a 10min penalty. Is this intended?

Nvm if you /afk it sets your status to afk until you /afk again lol. This game is way too much **** jank.
I rolled need on a pair of DoK gloves in a scenerio and it went to a player that rolled greed.
Stuck on literally everything
Maybe I'm misremembering the game, but I really don't remember it being this **** wonky

I just accepted a scenario pop with 10seconds left and I didn't zone in and it gave me a 10m deserter penalty lmao. Wtf is this
