Issue with ctrl+click

Just Installed using Crossover on my macbook 15 (not something i've done before) followed the install guide very carefully, everything is working great except I cannot ctrl+click to talk to npcs/attack enemies/loot enemies etc? am I missing something obvious? haven't run a windows game on here before
