Pretty great highlight of how many things are wrong with this game.

With the changes to crests/gear progression all these premades are now running with sov toons and the gap between premades and randoms/new-comers is bigger than ever.

They barely take any damage. Sure, they have decked out toons and good healers and everything but it is also the overbuffed defensive stuff (parry, disrupt, dodge, absorbs, etc.) that has no real counter.

Lots of engis and SWs that can't do anything against such groups except being a renown pinata for them. Did you see that group of engis? Zero damage...

The only classes beside tanks, healers and mdps that can fit into this are mSHs, sorcs and maybe BWs. Everything else can be put onto the shelf.

Bottom line is: These kind of premades - like shown in the video - have become almost unkillable, stomping people left and right all day long, be it city, scs or orvr. Very fun!

Give a best guild in RoR some credit. Thats why you play 8 years and lvlup your characters to use them best you can. Notice they need only 12 man for kills that cant be achieved by full warbands.

People have been running with Sov toons since Spring 2020. This video is a 12-man (sometimes 15-man) which includes a rank 33 tank. If two Shadow Warriors can't focus fire on one unguarded healer or a Sorc out of guard range to insta-gib it then that says more about the SWs than the 12-man...

atleast four of those characters legitmately do not have the renown to wear any "sov" but if people want to keep on panning the gear "angle" to make themselves feel better go for it... remember doing similar years ago in conq only times

its also so much easier to level and gear up these days compared to 1k renown keep cap times when during legacy chosen era 8-)

3 hour gunbad grind become 30 mins breeze
13 sentinel runs become 4
bastion less...

that saves alot of needless hours on pve, although i already did it on everything

do not need to alarm clock raid for cities less gated content... give dev's truthful feedback and credit when required but ive known people to get rr 80 in 2 weeks of no life try harding, and if you do it just casually you'll get there in alot faster times than legacy players ... renown potions are more accessible than they have ever been.

Some lowbie bolstered players who know what they are doing are also better than some sov players, you see it all the time

The gap in gear can be an issue, the gap in renown points is probably bigger. However, these gaps are not nearly as large as gaps in play.

Stated about but worth reiterating, a fair few of the characters in the video aren't even high renown or near BiS.

I'm not trying to flame anyone here but I would like to stress that focusing on playing correctly in a situation is worth far more than being well-geared.

The game here on RoR is different than live, for sure. Defenses are stronger so it is much more possible to play perfectly and mow through uncoordinated or less knowledgeable enemies, but there certainly are counters and ways to build to counter a lot of the defensive stuff.

Because thats not their Role, Engis and SW funtion more like range damage support role, not zerg busting cleave. They have tools, SW MoraleDrain and M2 AoE Snare are very good for kiting or to counter enemy pushing/chasing. Engi has Stagger/AoEKD and DoT pressure. Thats their role, but they cannot perform that role if there is no living frontline and thats whats main reason for order to get collapsed in most fights. Slayer and BW is best possible combo to zerg busting any chokes but they need to be alive to do so. Order healers needs to position properly to keep sl/bw alive, if they do then they can break any destro frontline.

Some order groups trying to flank, Abso did it with most success but u need to do that with coordination with other groups and thats another issue on Order, even if there are some WBs/Groups they play very discoordinated OR they read battle poorly and make wrong moves at wrong times.

Ofc gear and high renown helps but those are not key reasons of surviving and being successful in the RvR battles. Its mostly about reading battle, how enemy wants to move and how you can counter it. At 19 min of my video destro getting caught and that includes some of our healers, there is no gear that will fix positioning for u.

What i was really missing on order was some Knights with SolarFlare, on the correct push, if u use SolarFlare to remove morales from enemy tanks, u remove M4 and Bellow for them, which are the main counters for Slayers and their RangeDMG support behind them.

Here u can watch our order POV from 2020, sure a bit different meta (pre 1.5 GCD) but almost similar playstyle
