Maybe it spawns on a timer, maybe you still have to sacrifice skulls, dunno, but I did enjoy it as it gives a fresh of hour in strategizing the lakes
I think the possibilities are there. What if you can take it to BOs while you run it down to the other side, but for each BO that you visit it gains a weakness aura. So it would give a better bonus, but the carry party would be more at risk. There's also the question of if its good for it to spawn in the other zones.

Main point is that the same way crates are a fun risk reward objective this was a good play on that.

Also curious on other peoples thoughts about it having the crate sky beam? Clever in that if multiple players grab crates they can run deception, or does it need its own distinctive aura?

For the love of god stop dishing out those winged mounts. Or clip their wings. Or remove hitboxes from wings. Or ban people afking mounted with them on healers and flightmasters. Or make healers and FMs punt/dismount people on griffons/wyverns near them.

Ok:

1. The mount and especially the permanent consmetic being tied to a quest that is done relatively quickly is awesome imho. That way I can get the cloak on many chars without slogging through the whole event. Meanwhile the temporary powerup is tied to event completion which is fine because you only need it on characters you actively play.

2. The quest-chain is short and neat. Having a magus-mount is also much appreciated (and holy **** it is the coolest disc around)

3. Two scs that will be tied to weekend event scs is always a good fit, especially if you (almost) only requrie participation.

4. Flamespeaker's Gaze quest is a bit clunky since you need to return to the city after each completion when queue time might drive you into the lakes.

5. The relic is awesome... We had fun running it, even more fun biting the tail and trying to snipe it. Making it only run on foot was definitely a good idea.

6. Renown boost is a good incentive to keep running the relic.

7. I don't like secret quests, makes me feel like I'm missing out.

8. Sausage is a funny idea.

9. Gryphon mounts are insanely annoying. They block vision on everything, make clicking **** hard,... insanely annoying. Look cool tho

Relic running is a great idea, and should be a once weekly event like LotD. Randomly spawns in one of the two active pairings at a set time so everyone knows and can prepare. Gave me serious DAoC nostalgia.

The food pocket items giving negative stats was a good idea, although I'm sure a couple classes will have no issues with the tiny negative stats when they have built in initiative buffs on their most popular specs.

Its Witch Hunters. Of course I'm talking about overturned 1v1 Witch Hunters.

Overall find the event fun, but not the busy work of having to constantly return to capital for turn ins.

Agreed with this, would be great to have an NPC near every Flight Master that you could turn this quest into.

As far as feedback goes. The first couple of days were great with the relic, but in the NA time zone one side just runs it unopposed now so it means very little now. I was hoping for more of an increase in players due to the event, but pulling the numbers this morning we have lost players in the last few weeks compared to previous weeks.

It did, however, appear in a news article for PC Gamer so that was cool. Even my son, who does not play the game seen the news article and "thought" about playing the game due to the article.

Instead to do the 30 kills quest 5 times make 1 quest 150 kills. Cant see the purpose to separate it such way.

Mount quest line was cool, esp the journey to the last boss although if we didn't have one group mate that knew the way we wouldn't find it.
Rest was fine beside the college scen which imo has worst map design ever.

Done Relic run while empire were locked without opposition so was abit dull. Prolly allow that to happens only while there is an open zone at the pairing.
Mostly harmless

  • Doing the RvR objectives has been very fun. The buff you get for escorting a relic could probably be longer, I missed out on several rr buffs because I had to log after a relic run.
  • The PvE part was maybe a bit too easy.
  • Doing the mandatory SCs was a mixed bag. Had a good time with Black Fire Basin, many good fights.
Colleges of Corruption was my worst SC experience in RoR so far. You can basically ignore every area besides the objective area, and the tankiest team just wins by sitting in the hot tub. Maybe it's just me, but I have lots of trouble jumping out of the lava as a goblin. Dunno if I can bring up the energy to finish the kill quests for it if I barely get 3 kills per game.
  • The secret quests were a nice idea, but I would have never found them without other players pointing me to them.

I try every day but seems like premades home is fire basin and that college.

Not funny at the moment.
Dat matchmaking is horrible ... no heal vs 4+ heal is crap. Let the side wait if the other side dont have heals up Or vice versa.
