Return of Reckoning

I’m just starting to play my WL after quite some time, as of yet I’m not in a guild or playing with anyone so most of the time I’ll be solo Qing. Would Guardian/hunter or axman/hunter be the better spec to go .

The standard full guardian build works pretty well for me in pre-t4 sc. Melee crit, str, ws, wounds, in this order. Pack hunting, brute force, speed training, flanking. Flanking+primal fury gives 40% increased damage from behind. Flanking can be swapped for close combat if you don't have guard and destros have a lot of range or a few strong ones. With this build its possible to delete squishies during the stun, basically with 1 coordinated strike and some autos. Of course, you are squishy af too, so try not to get focused too much. Confusing movements is a life saver. Later I plan to switch leonione frenzy for force opportunity and see how it goes.

Basically what Tisaya said. Guardian is the best if you play alone. You have good burst and your own kd so you dont have to rely on other kds.

Since my WL reached T4, I had to improve and adapt the build. Removed primal fury and leonione frenzy, replaced it with AOE spin to win channel and 50% armour pen tactic. It's still as good for sc and roaming, even better actually. According to dummy testing, it's 500 more burst in 3sec than with leonione frenzy.

Pros: don't have to worry about WS as much, can invest in survivability instead of WS, if you wish. Alternatively, can try to reach 100% armour pen as the endgame goal. Works well for sc, solo roaming and in WB.

Cons: Lion sometimes gets confused when you AOE multiple targets at once and attacks a wrong person. Constant spin to win can break your AOE detaunt.
