Archmage in Eternal Citadel

Having spent all morning watching AMs get farmed in Eternal Citadel, can any one chime in with how exactly the are supposed to counter destro melee balls and pull spam in this scen?
Goblins seems to be ok because they are fast/don't face as many pulls, well any pulls at all really against order but that's another topic.
Just seems like AM cannot escape melee damage in this scen and doesn't have the defenses of RP or WP to tank it.

Position near the edge so enemy dps is feared of being knocked. Ofc you could end flying but for AMs near the portal is harsh if not babysits well.
The main problem is that forthis sc should both sides should start always with same numbers of rdp, mdps, tanks, healers.
I cant figured out how do you end at middle portal at the start. Wating to shift portals or what?

Just spec DPS then keeping you alive is the healers/tanks problem

Some scs were made for don't be queued. This is one of them.

You can stand at the guard rails and hope your tanks are going to outplay theirs so you'll never even be targeted.
Alternatively just suffer like every class that needs to kite for survival but can't in that sc. Every single rdps is feeling the pain there since the only place where you can safely "kite" without simply getting punted into the abyss is in a straight line back and forth behind both stairs. From the top of my head I can't think of a worse SC for rdps. It is what it is.

run between world tactic + hot x cleanse tactic, cast time reduction staff, perma detaunt 1 dd, join 6 vs 6 man only if rr 60+

You have two good punt spots (into the abyss and onto the side platforms, you ideally have RP to keep you alive, puddle, other than that keep one m2 (blinding light/FM) for escapes. if you run melee comp kite towards your dps, destro has to avoid them anyway and they get you some bodyblock fodder. Count on tanks playing the game. All the usual things. I've also seen very succesful kiting around the braziers, with flee+ap pot you can spend good few minutes running around them. They will also LoS mara pulls. Oh, and if you run kite comp you presumably have a tank capable of keeping you safe.

Answer is just like always was, dont spec dps am, join a premade of 6, and hope your heal teammate knows how to play.
It's not a problem of am's and trust me gobbos are not fast when you have a small space and you are constantly on 10 layered slows by enemies.
It is problem of it being small space that punishes all rdps and healers while benefits tanks and mdps, I had one scenario where we won 3 tanks 3dps against order pug 2/2/2 (2tanks 2rdps, runie and AM) It's just one of those scenarios where you dont queue without 6 when you are healer and you dont queue at all when playing anything ranged like BW/SW unless you have good premade.
