players would maybe feel like their gear that they have earned during t1 is for nothing, when they at lv 16 have to instantly play against Sov/Warlord geared players, just an little idea, instead of chucking people into the deep end and seeing if they sink or swim, give players some hope and play against players that are near their current gear, yes i know bolster exists, but as i said just an idea

I like it, this would also give new players a chance to experience box running and attack/defense keep mechanics before facing 40+ players.

You could leave these zones open and rotating like T1's current setup. When a fort is captured, you could have the T3 zone open so that T1-2 and T3-4 could be independent from each other.

Could be done if we had more players. Atm its not viable, and a better solution would be speed up the lvling process so players can close the gap faster.

no. T1 should be suppressed right away and left only PQ+leveling via quests that give renown to player. It is horribly unbalanced and a mental trauma for newcomers.
T1 to 16 was a mistake since 9 years to begin with.

Well at 15 you're supposed to do the city dungeon, which will ding you lvl17 with a full set of armor. You can be armor, toughness, main stat capped. They're only facing sov players in the rvr lakes as well, and the rvr lakes are full of non-sov and undergeared players where full keepers+talismans is better stat wise.

You're missing abilities sure but you're hardly a free kill.

The problem is new players don't know how to play. Maybe more tutorials could help them.

This. New comers that never touched the game are confused and must restart from zero. I suggest leave t1 as pve tier where PQ give renown so the ppl have time to learn and familiarize to their class. Tier 1 lakes are just a meme. Many ppl newcomer outright quit the game after getting farmed for 4hrs straight by enemy smurfs accounts that go there "to have fun"...

You dont familiarize trough pve you do via pvp
So doing only pve does nothing for you once you get to pvp after 16 you will just get crushed even more.

Sub40 players are absolutely a free kill for any remotely competent 40/group of 40s/wb of 40s/etc. I think people made up this narrative otherwise to rationalize their embarrassing losses to sub40s.

you are not forced to solo pve. Simply no one do it because is useless in t1making it worth would be better (exmple PQ give renown)
concerningn the stomping it will always happen. The gear difference will ever be there.

Getting ready for a fight you need to spar people, pve is equivelant to a boxing bag, yes you can train on it but it wont make much difference , cus you dont know how opponent hits and how to dodge and get away from hits.
You can try your combinations but whit a real opponent hardly any will land
And thats why you need to spar right away
