Stop Hiding Changes

I created a bug report because an ability stopped working as it had before. The bug report gets a response of "working as intended". (https://bugs.returnofreckoning.com/view.php?id=22746) I checked all the patch notes from this year. I did a search on the forum which includes patch notes. No mention is made of this change.
What benefit is there to hiding changes? It's extremely frustrating to run into a bug, spend the time to test and report it, and then come to find out it was a change that was snuck in. If it's a development or balance decision, say it. Do not hide changes to abilities as if people won't find out.
As an aside, the ability that was changed was Shroud of Magnus/Elixir of the Cauldron. It used to disrupt all magical damage, except undefendable attacks such as Bolt of Change and Fireball (with the tactic making it undefendable). Now those attacks will hit but not do damage, instead showing immune. Even the description of the ability was changed. To make it worse, it WAS a bug that was fixed, when it was disrupting undefendable attacks back in 2019. (viewtopic.php?t=32595)
