Why new players should join a guild

Short video of an organized guild getting 128 kills in 2min. Charging into bigger numbers to do so.

The point is to show the difference that organization has in this game. This guild was fighting WBs that either don't do voice comms or have a high number of pug players. Coordinating damage drops, multiple voices calling for incoming flanks, adjusting Healers positioning, Tanks calling their punts and when they get punted, calling resurrections so other Healers don't waste their time - these are all standard calls that have a high impact, and imo are pretty damn cool to be a part of. oRvR isn't just a numbers game.

You just know this is going to degenerate into a "White Lions are OP!!!" thread pretty quick

Nice vid though. Most fun way to play this game has always been with a solid guild that can put decent parties/wbs together. It's how the game is designed to be played. The solo pug life is possible and can be fun, but will never compare to being in a proper guild.

Joining an organized 2-2-2 warband will make it more fun as a healer to be in a group, the dps will be guarded, and your party will be close together so you are not dealing with "that guy is dieing, but he is too far away from us" situations. Same for playing a tank, its much easier to guardswap, crowdcontrol and protect your party when they are closer together and staying as a unit instead of being all over the zonemap, or one guy in scenario while taking up a party slot.

The same happends when joining a guild, you get the organied content but you often get on the same discord where there can be room for banter talking about whatever in between fights and you get to meet people from different contries and cultures.

This video is a very good example on how much higher of a level you can get on if joining and playing with the better guilds on the server. Shoutout to Retribution for packing some serious punch and running a very clean warband

Mandatory contribution.

Playing solo since live, didn't join organized wbs so far and ain't planning to. Likely at some stage ganked on this or other alt a pretty significant percentage of that organized wb, and likely will do it again.

Also, getting a few solo kills per hour, getting more renown+ crests than the members of the organized wb.

For old veterans playing solo is a choice, but for new players having a group of sameminded people in group/discord is a huge advantage. Easier to find groups for pve/pvp, builds that actually work, crafting guidance and supply, u name it. Besides, being in a guild doesnt force u to play every day same way, u still can solo, join other groups etc.
I highly recommend joining any RvR oriented guild if u a new player or old but looking for company.
In a fact, Retribution is the best organised one for quite some time.

IMHO, effective/successful small-scale nets more crests and RR than large-scale in RvR. Another benefit is that most small-scale parties consist of mostly BiS-geared players. Additionally, quite a few people in these compositions pass on crests, so crest gain gets amplified extraordinarily for a character that's still gearing.

Ofc it should be noted that you dont have to join a guild for more hardcore things. Id say a guild is very important but you should find one that suits you.

Even if you join a more relaxed non hardcore guild you still have more people to help you with stuff and do activities with.
