Return of Reckoning

Noob here with a noob question. I've been doing some reading on the tank classes for Destruction, mostly seen people putting Blackguard at the bottom. Has there been any rebalancing in the years that have passed? Is Blackguard good but not the best? Or just not very good and the other 2 tanks are more viable. Also, which professions are generally best for tanks? Thanks.

At current state of the classes, black guard is best tank in entire game. You cant go wrong with picking it up until devs either nerf it or buff other tanks to put them on same level.

BG is the best tank around that can go 2handed and literally melt enemies better than most melee dps

Not even swordmasters(currently the most damaging tank in both single & aoe damage ) can do that unless the mdps is incompetent or not supported ( e.g ungarded slayer). Let's not exaggerate.

What the BG has iin 2H is incredible toughness and the best tank cc in the game, the Punt is without any doubts overpowered.

you forgot:
1)auto detaunt removal
2)parry chance if specced so
3)auto healing if specced so
4)2handed, unlike other tanks which use cookie cutter spec, is very customizable for both scenarios and rvr, giving the class a lot of flexibility
5) the only tank which got heal reduction+wounds reduction (aoe) which outweights any raaw dps number
6) a knockdown+ knockback.

If you mean melt by supporting and enchancing others,then sure BG is dangerous but that is decieving since the role of a mdps is raw damage output not support, something they do a lot better than BG , hence why i compared to SM which has the highest raw dps output out of any tank( it will beat BG by a fair margin).

This is why a WB whhich is optimized only need 1 2H BG or 1 2H kotbs for their strong offensive support contribution, with mdps you can stack them for an overwhelming effect because of their damage output.
