I'd like to make the suggestion of being able to opt out of gaining rested experience while logged out in some way.

We all know there used to be xp reduction scrolls for RvR. Recently, the team has recognised the issue of accumulating too much xp too fast during the leveling process and reintroduced xp reduction scrolls but this time only for PvE content. I'd like to see further steps going in that direction because in my opinion the constant rested xp boost you get during leveling when you only play your toon every other day for a couple hours is just way too much. I know many people who won't touch their alts because they know they got 2 lvls of rested xp and will just have screwed over toons at 40.

I realise not everybody feels this way and some even powerlvl in PvE all the way to 40 because dungeon / pq gear is very viable for a lot of builds. This is why I'm not advocating for a complete removal of the rested xp bonus but just some form of opting out of it. Be it a scroll or just an area in the game you can logout of and not accumulate rested xp.

Rested exp gain is different based on the place you logged out. For example at viper pit and sigmars hammer is highest. At cities is second best and to lower it most you need to log at orvr or pve zone out of the wcs

Yes, I know but logging out in PvE still gives a substantial boost.

Should also add rested renown and crests.

Nooooo, we need more players for dungeos. Icrease rested!

I always wanted a potion, that "cleanses" rested xp or something like that.

People that want rested xp can take advantage of it, people that try to min / max RR before hitting cr40 can simply get rid of it.

Normally rested xp is a godsend in mmos, but in RoR it can feel like a "punishment for not playing consistently" if you try to maximise your rr gain before hitting cr40.

There is of course also the question of if the devs would want something like that, given how they removed "anti xp scrolls" back in the day, because of people allegedly abusing them to farm newbs on toons before hitting cr40.

But to me it feels like simply having the option to get rid of rested xp, wouldn't nearly be as impactul as the PvP instructors boon.
