Regarding the gear in your guide - beastlord/sentinel. For maximum str - im guessing the ws bonus is from pre patch where it scaled with parry%. I have a full HV set - would it be better to combine it with sentinel instead?

6pc Beastlord isn't there for stats or Weaponskill. As WE you actually don't really need Weapon Skill for your burst due to having access to Elixir of Insane Powers (at rr50) and also Pierce Armor (after rr60). The full Beastlord is there for the 6pc Bonus:


This is pretty valuable since it means you can fire off max Bloodlust ''On Your Knees'' and max ''Ruthless Assault'' on cooldown.

My take on this issue is my take on this issue and nothing more. With that as a premise, my suggestion is - forget the warbands.

My WE is RR 85 and during all the time it took to get to that level I may have run in a Warband twice. WE's are more fun solo or in small groups, and given for DPS classes Renown drops like rain in Seattle Warbands tend to be a drag. You get very little support in a Warband, especially now that the meta has shifted to favor the ranged classes. If you are going to be in the lakes just hang out near a warband and pick off the stragglers.

There is no point joining WB, you have insane strange to kill one on one and all tools imaginable to escape if something go wrong.
Also you get tons of RP and crests for solo kills.
