Yes, the standard aoe build uses loner (and I guess since pets are extra bugged atm, it's probably functioning as a solid ST build too since you can cut channel early for instant autoattack to get big burst)

Build

i know you've said 50rr, but unfortunately most solid builds require 60/70 to get all the things they want. if you are in warband with this build and playing it as aoe, you could drop cull the weak and dump the rest of your points in to left tree for damage amp on your aoe abilities until you're 60rr and can make the build proper.

Use bloodlord axe but try to get vanquisher set asap!
WL loner has no cc, only snare, and this break any build you wanna try but aoe spam. Worse than any other pet class, WL is totally dependant of it's pet. With it said, play on wbs only because you're free rp in case you wanna roam solo.

Loner-hack and slash-flanking-tearing blade is the best WB spec for Wl onve you are geared. Change out tearing blade for Brute Force while you are still gearing. Balance your talis and rr points to get as much WS and Str as you can, but focus more on WS once you are at 800 or so str.

I'd say, avoid Cull the Weak in _any_ build. It's a trap. By 80's you should have around 40% crit chance and crit every other attack. One additional conditional crit per 10 seconds is nothing and not worth the mastery investments.

advising players to "avoid" taking one of the hardest hitting abilities the class has is kind of wild, especially on the grounds of "you have a high crit chance in bis".

you don't take this ability because it's "one additional crit per 10 seconds". that isn't how the ability works. you take it because it has 2-3x base damage of all your other abilities, high strength scaling, scales incredibly well with the bountiful damage amps WL has access to like flanking/loner/primal fury and serves as a nigh-guaranteed crit execute ability (which btw is better with high crit from gear, making it actually guaranteed especially against bis healers who have 10-20% rctbc) to help finish off targets that are low.

CtW was a good ability on live, I'm with Tsaya, avoid this today.

I used to run 40% crit a few months ago. Tbh the crit dmg without pack synergy (bonus crit dmg) isnt that good. I feel investing in additional WS is granting far more overall kill pressure (wb vs wb) than my former crit build. Cull the weak is optional but fun.

How do you get near 40% crit by 80? I have 24% on my WL and count my self lucky.
