Return of Reckoning

As above, fighting a Chosen on a BO 1v1 when I nuke myself for 6k dmg in 3 hits over 1-2 seconds:

Is it some kind of new anti solo debuff or something or am I missing something obvious? I'm nowhere near a keep lord, just a regular 1v1 around BO flag in Ostland.

Overextension is a damaging debuff you get when you go out of bounds. Typically this happens when you are swimming too far in to the ocean or go too high up a mountain or start running off the map towards the edge of the physical game world.

While you said you were in an area that does not seem out of bounds, the game may have thought you were for one reason or another. Likely that you got stuck in/under/above terrain leading to the game seeing your character's location as an out of bounds area leading to overextension killing you. Maybe the chosen punted you in to a weird spot or something, unsure. A super rare bug for that to happen in an rvr lake for sure.

There's also an overextension debuff that happens if you get into certain warcamps. There's a spot in that east BO in Ostland that also triggers it. I always thought it was a bug, but looking at Aethilmar's post, it was intentionally added for some reason, though I can't imagine what that could be.
