Return of Reckoning

Me playing with a friend. He wants to play archmage but it's not certain while I am okay with any class I think. Any suggestions for good duos? Not neceserrily AM + someone, but any of your ideas.

2 x archmage.

IB + dps WP
AM + BW
AM + SW
SM + SM
SM + dps WP
WH + WH (most cancerous)

Sadly, it truly seems this way with current stealthers. They either have at least 3 of them or they don't leave the warcamp. None of them seem to have the stones to solo roam anymore

There probably is potential with duo's of classes that complement each other.
However, I have some curious questions as a new player (correct me if I'm wrong):

#1 IB + dps WP. Why is this a good duo? Doesnt the IB have abilities that benefit the guardee yes, but why dps WP?
#2 AM + BW. BW gets backlash from class mechanic and AM is great ST healer.
#3 AM + SW. Why the SW? Isnt SW only good for Pierce Defenses, the 10% dmg group buff, and the AP pump ability, but why pair with AM?
#4 SM + SM. I guess 2x SM have different blade enchantments so they can both share in a group and can guard. But what is the other benefits to this pairing?
#5 SM + dps WP. Why?.
#6 WH + WH (most cancerous). I can see the benefit of 2x strong DPS burst classes stacking on a ST to take them down fast, like a healer. I've seen 3x WH group and stack together and they would absolutely destroy Destro in T1, very entertaining to watch.

#1 Unkillable tank + strong dps which can heal both, also guy with big hammer look cool.
#2 #3 details don't matter, one heals and debuffs, other is strong dps, both can kite
#4 2 guys 2 big swords, heal procs, cross-guard. kinda fun
#5 strong tank with resist debuffs + strong dps guy with healing
#6 Your target just die in seconds while knocked down

We saw a team like that today in Praag! Great show of them <3

what about destro duos?
is shammy + sorc as good as AM + BW?
and is it possible to have a blast in oRVR as a duo or full party/wb is a must?

Shammy and RSH would be better.
