Leveling too fast

Just a question.
I have start playing about 1 month ago and level from 0 to 60 (did not play too much. maybe 4 hours daily).
As far as I remember from 2008 year, it takes ages to get RR-60.
Now leveling up is super fast? Or it was kind of event with increased exp?
Thanks

Nothing wrong with leveling fast. And from a fellow player back on live, don't look at this game as if it's Live. I don't think you'd want to level your 20th alt if it took 6+ months to get into decent gear, depending your amount of time played.
RoR has its ups and downs to it just like live, but again, this is similar but not the same game as it was in 2008. Plus unlike live, no subscription ( prob one major reason for slow lvling)

Yeah I find leveling on this server to be too fast. I understand why ranks 1-16 is fast, but the rest of the game should not be fast. The problem with super fast leveling is that it gives you nothing to look forward to once you're at the apex.
I started in late October and I'm RR 74 now after only 2 months. Last week I did one renown rank a day, two days in a row.
One of the recent things affecting it is the broken State of the Realm. It's giving out incorrect bonuses to renown. When you are getting constant buffs from 160%, it's hard not to level up. It also makes the other faction not want to enter the area (because they won't get renown), so both factions just run boxes in different regions.

The leveling process here has been dramatically simplified over the years. Just roll with it.

It’s great that leveling up here is much faster than on previous live servers. Nobody needs the tedious leveling of one character for six months, and I definitely wouldn’t play on this server if it was like that.
Thanks to the developers for simplifying the game in this direction, because this is a blessing.

How the hell do you level fast? I get defeat after defeat in SC's against premades, and RVR is just a tug of war with a few kill here and there.
Tips appreciated!

Carreer ranks are useless in this game, progress should be tied to Renown Rank.
You spawn as a CR 40 and RR0 and your actual progression is pvp ranking, there is no purpose for leveling outside of catering to the old ideas of copying World of Warcraft.

@Geir The server has some very good warband leaders. If you get to know who they are and respond when they need a class, get invited and play well . You will get reinvited. Usually very high ranked players that can gain a lot of crests and renown by beating other warbands with aao.

Yes, I have already figured out that some WB Leaders are better than others.
For example
- Zorbaxxx seems doing a very job.
- but Killz - if you join his WB, normally it is suicide runs all the time.

No one wants to increase the grind.
If you hit RR 80 just roll another toon. I have all of them at 40/40 or higher. It gives you an excellent perspective on what to expect when facing various adversaries. And its a fun challenge playing with a toon that isn't BiS.
