Return of Reckoning

Hey guys,

I am thinking of leveling a Black Orc with my wife. We mainly quest and do PQ's and are not new players but back after like 10 years of being gone. I never played a black Orc before and liked the idea. I remember my chosen was super fun and insanely tanky. I heard black orcs are not that great compared. Should I just go Chosen again?

Snb BO is good. You will be fine doing quests and wanted in RvR.

I think the differences between the different tank classes are pretty minor.

All of them can be great tanks, both in pvp and pve. They can all mitigate damage well, they can all protect their group well, they all offer some utility to the rest of the group.

What utility they offer is different, for sure. And there are also bigger differences when it comes to 2h specs (i don't think BO does that well 2h). But if you want to be a proper tank, BO is perfectly fine.



More importantly than anything else of course, Black Orcs are GREEN! That makes them the best

I recommend using "PlanB" Addon for BO
It switches ur Hotbars automatically.

I have no actual experience with them, but looking at things on paper I would imagine the BO experience to be somewhat frustrating, as several important utilities are locked behind specific Plan stages. This means that you won't always have access to vital tools when you actually need them.

I actually had to switch it off, as i felt like it did more harm than good for me. theres not that many buttons to smash with BO. most of them are quite situational too (like ws buff for example, u just want to keep it up)

After getting hang of the system, its fairly easy to have punt/kd whn needed, but just gotta remember if its better to reset the plan by no plan ability, or switch with change da plan.

Well Black Orc issues are far more Dire than " Several important utilities locked behind plan stages " This is not an issue at all. Its just like playing any other tank after playing blorc/sm for a while. Also there is Off GCD plan Switch with 5s cooldown.

Blorc issues are basically that BG is super OP and Chosen is just very powerful. There is no point having blorc over these two. None who played blorc wanted BAD Single target KB that needs tactic.... and at the same time they ruined Big Brawling. None also asked for Wez Bigger gives movement speed buff, also with tactic.

If Blorcs get Original No choppin' me double Ws buff(240) back with Tree hit Combo bein usable with Shield then at least we would have the good old Bruiser Spec that everyone loved

I don't fully agree with this. Every other tank has access to all of his skills. Some of them become better due to mechanics (IB/BG).
The BO mechanic is annoying and does not reward the player in any way.
