Have Seasonal Servers been considered for this project?
There are many private servers, freeshards and even retail MMOs that regularly run 3-4 month Seasonal, fresh start servers that either expire, or bring characters over a certain level range to the main server with the season ends.
This is a great way to refresh early content, bring in *tons* of new players, and let everyone compete from the same footing.

Would love to see this game with several thousands players at all times for a couple months

Forgive me if this has topic has been beaten to death, as I couldn't find any other threads on it.
(also please dont murder me for asking cause I full understand the sunk cost of this game and they have every right to be proud of their characters and guild's accomplishments. Rolling over seasonal characters to the 'standard' server when the season ends alleviates this)

Personally I dont think this is a good idea as it would split pop from the main server which is not something we want.

I also would never touch seasonal myself and I dont understand the appealing part of it.

It would split the population for sure, but would also bring a large influx of new players to the main server when the season ends.

One of the main appeals of a fresh server is to reset the gear imbalance between low and high RR players or fresh characters, and to experience the grind again with everyone else at the same time.
Currently, new players have an incredibly daunting grind to catch up to someone in BIS.
And when the server is not peak time with a low playerbase, its hard to get anything done sometimes.

This is an old MMO and we dont want that season trash here.

We want to keep our progression and server population

This game is not designed for this strange rinse-repeat gameplay.
I don't even understand what you want to achieve by doing this? It's not giving noobs any opportunity because experienced players will progress faster anyway. All low level content is open and people explore it at any lvl.

The only way id enjoy seasons is if the content were entirely different and the classes a little different every time and the time to progress is reduced by like half. Otherwise no thanks. It takes way too long to build your characters up already and definitely designed to be played in the long haul not for short bursts like seasons would do.

some people enjoy starting fresh and not vs sov.

IF they did seasonal id def play it.
