Forum feature suggestions

I understand that the forums are currently the best way for the community to ask for wanted features, updates, and offer feedback and communicate directly with the devs but with all that in mind it seems like the forums are lacking a few things to make this work.
I'd love to see a direct reply option added to the forums to allow us to notify each other when a topic is being discussed, along with a like feature. While I dislike YouTube removing the dislike feature, I do understand having a like system only because it still allows us to show if we like a specific subject and want to see if it is expanded on. If it's a good idea, it will get likes; if it's not, it simply won't get likes. Simple as that. Outside of that perhaps a visual update to the forums is needed now? While they do work it's a bit hard to navigate everything when you are new to them and I understand that they serve their purpose and function properly, this is simply a QoL that I think would be welcoming to new players.
