Hi, returning player here. Im a bit lost bout the current class balance state as well as what is most needed/wanted in open rvr.

I also saw there is a new dungeon available and was wondering what power lvl is that set at. Most of my old toons are Bs geared/vanquisher and im woindering if i need to grind it in order to gain some free power up.

I also dont discard starting a new toon altoghther as im quite lost in rvr with so many spells and stuff happening all at same time but i dunno how is new player progression feeling these days

One last thing is im now palying on +200 ping so im also thinking that might make some classes way harder to play

Class balance is ever changing, so I wouldn't base any of your choices on current balance unless you fancy chasing the latest "easy mode". Every class wants a buff, and every time you die to someone you think that class needs a nerf. Just human nature.

What's needed? Same as always, tanks and healers! On destro, i tend to notice more callouts for tanks, and snb tanks seem comparatively rare.

The new dungeon is called Lost Vale (LV) and its the highest level dungeon in the game, and therefore the hardest. Its newly released so not many people have completed it, and many of us (myself included) haven't even tried it yet.

It offers the Dark Promise gear sets.....and there are 3 versions of the armour for every class, to offer main role, off-role and hydrid setups. There's also new weapons. Armor is roughly equivalent to triumphant / victorious and requires you to have the invader ward before u can equip it. Sov gear is still, in most cases, better, but I'm sure we'll see more uses for the gear once it's been out a while.

As the hardest and newest dungeon, its gonna be a struggle. Full sovs groups are going in and wiping for hours without completing even 1 wing. I've heard some groups have cleared it in 1hr30mins, but that's rare. 3-6 hours is more common, assuming u can clear it at all.
