Grimmshimmer and fleshrenders

instead of digging up my old post, im gonna make same one again.

I know i might be The last person you expected to Ask this, but is isnt grimmshimmer chest a bit too powerful for its itemlevel (36)? That regen alone is insane, not to mention when combined with all other regen stuff this game has. Sure, equipping it means you lose one set piece bonus, but the fact that so many players still take Grimmshimmer over the set bonus just proves the point even more. That tradeoff should normally feel painful, but right now the regen value is strong enough that it outweighs the intended drawback.

Also same thing for fleshrenders, Its BiS jewel in many solo setups at itemrank of 36, even with only the morale/red arpen it would be very strong, but with added regen and not being unique makes it just over the top.

Im not sure how sought after these are in smallscale/wb play, but atm many solo builds just run around these + high sustain and passive dmg (AA/riposte/reflect, tons of long dots), i do feel that it would freshen up the game a bit if these would be toned down.

Having heal debuffs to affect regen isnt bad idea either, but its different discussion.

Would it be utterly gamebreaking to tune these down to match their item levels?

I'd prefer if their usage was restricted to tanks before it was outright nerfed or even removed, at least as far as jewel pieces go. A lot of tank sets already have many pieces with regen as a normal part of it. Shimmer is definitely a problem though, wouldn't mind that getting the axe.

It's a bigger pain in the ass imo, when you allow that level of defense for every single class in the game, especially with classes that already have survivability they have no business having to begin with, like WE and WH.

The low item level on the chest is a defacto armor debuff vs. using a higher tier set item.

Not of a fan of that chest but it does come from a lair and that type of loot should be unique and perhaps extra powerful.

It is up to the devs

If they want nerf it they nerf it (will clearly make some happy)

If they want to keep the original intent they adjust their item own normalisation framework or adjust the item level instead to match the original intent

In my opinion, the impact of healing is overrated. Its impact is truly noticeable only with high defense (armor/stamina), which only tanks possess. On other classes, even WE/WH healing from all items isn't able to significantly reduce the burst of a pure DPS class. Yes, it definitely helps survivability when combined with other means, but by itself it's not decisive. However, I agree with the topspeaker that the bonuses from healing are indeed a higher priority than the lost bonuses from various set combinations. And this would be nice to balance. But personally, I'm in favor of improving set bonuses, not nerfing other gear.

Pocket regen should be removed before touching anything else imo. I would remove regen tali as well before touching actual items.

This OP item exist for a long time, so I guess one of the devs advocate for it.
I am not even talking about general PvE bias where we have dungeon weapons as BiS.
