White Lions pouncing up into keeps

I think someone has slightly overlooked the z-axis restriction of the newly-coded WL pounce ability.
I do not remember them being able to jump into the upper floors of keep ever.
Maybe it is the new "teleport" skill, but it's definitively different from live.

Maybe limit the z-axis range but it was not impossible to jump on higher or lower ground.

Dunno how many times it has been stated already:
The old pounce was highly unreliable when there was the slightest difference in the z-axis between the WL and the target (was almost everytime the case). You had to spam it several times to even get it working just one time (with all the AP loss ofc...).
This was fixed on the PTS server for mythic for the upcoming patch 1.4.9 and it used to work exactly like it does here atm.
Btw in other games (e.g. swtor) the pounce works exactly like it does on RoR atm and no one is complaining.
The ability should get a short cooldown in the future ofc.

Pounce is to mitigate shaman runaway. If pounce gets a cd, then run away should also be nerfed to match. Currently pounce is not as good as it was in live. In live a Wl could control the direction while pouncing and land a snare.

WL pounce is working as it was in live, besides the fact of pounce sometimes allowing the wl to pounce while rooted. In live you could always jump into t2 and some t3 keeps when getting the right angle, they did this so melee could focus the casters on the edges of keeps like the maras pull.

No this is a misconception
Reliable* pounce wo CD is the best
defensive ability in game that is why it needs a tweak
* no misfires like on LIVE

Actually, Pounce used to work extremely well as an ability very early on in the game. Then they changed it somehow and it became less effective, especially for catching shamans.
You could never pounce onto keep walls etc. but up hills easily.

I don't think there is a "keep wall flag", so the server can decide if the target stands on a keep wall or a hill.
I think mid air pouncing can and should be fixed though, so people can punt the WL down again.
