Players from Russia without a VPN are no longer able to access the game, even after updating.

Some private WoW servers have access to proxies, why wouldn't RoR do the same? This may also improve ping for some players.

Are there any other players from other countries also having problems connecting to the game?

Would you be able to provide some more information. Where are you being blocked? What part are you being blocked, can the patcher update? Does the game launch? etc.

Telecommunication providers and Data knot point centers in the EU are blocking Russian IPs
as part of the Sanctions, regarding their neighbors ability to enjoy online games rn.

Yeh one of my friends also cant normally play game now, he can log through some shenanigans but lags are insane. Think hes from Siberia region. , prob problem due rampage of internet blocking. If you would be able to help such players,would be great.

Would you be able to provide some more information. Where are you being blocked? What part are you being blocked, can you open the launcher? can the patcher update? Does the game launch? can you load in? etc.

I will ask him when i see him online, dont have info now. He was pretty depressed with it, and i dont see him often now.

I'm from north western part of Russia and previosly, like months ago, i didn't needed any apps to bypass the "block" that seemed to appear now.
I can go thru launcher to launch the game but when i choose to log in with my character the game "thinks" longer and the process of "Preparing for WAR" doesn't show and you end up with the black screen (besides the UI) and error message "The server has closed your connection; you have been disconnected."

Last i heard Amazon servers are being blocked by RU, but its not upon blocks, its about some strange server settings. Issue OP has and many others ive already heard about are mostly due to GSM spoofing, especially for RU (so its part of general traffic generation and routing) which can be solved by player using any kind of tunnels, like L2TP/IPsec and alikes to where it works. As i know some RU ISP are working without issues, some not.

Very surprising fact that login/game server act incredibly different for people. Some can handshake but get d/c after press "play" ingame (this one is easily solved with tunnels), so they cant anyhow reach game server while login one lets them in so they can see chars. Some cant pass launcher, some cant handshake

As I understand it, the patcher can't access the list of files to update, but even if everything updates successfully via a VPN, for example, and the connect button becomes active, when I enter the game with the VPN disabled and press the START button, nothing happens and after a couple of seconds a complete disconnect occurs.

It seems servers in Hungary are not blocked - that's the policy.
