So you hit lvl 40, only heal gear you get is from GB and than from LV. Shield got somehow so mutilated I dont even know how to spec anymore. What else to do, forcing WP players go with GB gear zerging until you are a bit lucky and get some CH22? Or is there some spec someone can post where u can play trough pve with shield than until LV? As far I understand it, if you go a bit damage with shield you lose heal, because its split now and it seems like only way is to go full heal and hit like a wet noodle to get some healing output. Overall even when using Sigmar radiance its way better as book WP, dont understand for what even there is a Shield spec if you still need Heal gear to get good healing out of it with Sigmars Will.

Isnt that guilde for old Shield WP, the new one is sadly way different in many things. Last edit was 2024

No, it was updated for the latest changes (hence the green text that says Updated).

Sadly, the shield spec is basically unplayable right now. This was the funniest healer spec on game, but now...

If you’ve just hit 40, you’ve got two options: play by the book—zerging and spamming a lot of Martyr’s Blessings to get contribution and renown; or keep doing PvE and run your WP as DPS.

But beyond that, you don’t really have many options right now.

Shield spec is totally fine for PvE in this game. I leveled my DoK not too long ago, mostly did scenarios in shield spec to level so I was (and still am!) quite low ranked. I did the dungeon grind just fine, healing numbers were marginally lower than others but still more than adequate to complete dungeons. But you do reasonable damage, so it speeds up the run a bit. Admittedly, I haven't done LV but I assume it'll be fine in there too.

PvP is a different matter. Shield seems OK in small scale but anything large scale and u just get chewed up before you can even engage and start healing, and you just can't heal from range. I feel like, similar to 2h tanks, its a spec that only really comes into its own when you're BiS.

For PvE, renown points get spent in FS until im 0% chance to be crit, then strength, then crit chance. PvP is pretty much the same because im low rank and don't have many points to play with, but i intend to go more tanky when i rank up.

Yeah that is exactly the problem I have, shield has like nothing what makes it somewhat good and u cant even rush with it trough PvE to get decent heal gear from LV. Who wants to take a Redeye WP to LV when u have no friends to carry you, all that is left is zerging or wait ages for ch22

All shield needed was like make all healing count as normal healing to be affected by healdebuffs, it was to strong in 6v6, but thats all. Was such a fun and nice build

And seriously, Beastlord, Sentinel, Valewalker, Bloodlord are all dd/str based gear. About time we get Onslaught gear for War Tokens, at least make it for WP/dok that way.
