Upcoming Stuck & Terrain Improvements

Hi everyone,

We're working on some small improvements that should help fix up some of those annoying spots where players often get stuck. We know there are quite a lot of these out in the wild, and we're starting with the RvR lakes as it's never fun to get stuck mid-fight or siege.

I. Chillwind Manor BO (Eataine)

First up in the next patch are some new rocks being added to Eataine's Chillwind Manor BO:

This one has caught many a player who slid down the hill and found themselves totally stuck against the side of the building. New rocks have been added here which will give players the height to move forward and jump their way out. If you have collision from enemies, this may still be tricky, but it should be much more doable to jump out of starting with the next patch.

We also added some rocks behind this building as the whole area has lots of spots to get stuck. Hopefully this should fix the biggest & most common spot.

2. High Elf Keep Ramps

Ah, the joy of defending or attacking a high elf keep. You rush towards the ramp, heading up to kill your enemy... and accidentally step one foot too far, falling off the ramp and finding yourself permanently stuck between the wall. Riveting!

Finally, these Ramps will have new colliders that prevent players from accidentally stepping too far and getting perma-stuck in between the ramps and the keep walls in the next patch. You can also stand in the air above the gaps of these ramps, but this is currently intended and we think far better than falling into them and no longer being able to participate in a siege attack or defense.

Most Common Stuck spots?

The above two fixes should help, but there are many more spots where players can find themselves getting stuck. Our mission to fix these will take some time, but we encourage you to let us know of any spots that you commonly find yourself getting stuck at. We appreciate your thoughts and support in finding (and fixing) these in the future!

will this also include invisible walls?

in terms of stuck places, 1 comes to mind, Dark elf fort (fell landing) spikes on second floor can get you stuck when jumping from respown point.

Dark elves keeps, you can get stuck under one of either 2 lamp posts near outer oil placement spot.

Uthorin camp (Eataine), Druchii Barracks (Caledor) fence holes ; spikes all around floor, on fallen wall sections and tents/fixtures, are terribly annoying to deal with.

Rocks on various T4 zones (Caledor, Praag) which are meant to cross rivers, are often with gaps enough to stuck players into, if you fail one of "mario jumping" you'll likely end stuck between 2 rocks...

And other I dont have freshly in mind, will update (maybe) this post accordingly.
