They should allow a single box with multiboxing. Mainly for healing bots. Yeah, I said it. Call me based or whatever you want. I couldn't care less. I don't like or care about guilds either. All they are is some "council" of players using others to get whatever they personally want. It's been the biggest bs in mmorpg history since the eq days. Nothing but elitist self-entitled jerks do the guild drama imo. Let people play the game. You're not making money on this, it's for fun apparently. Or greatly nerf PVE PQ bosses. Give players some freedom to do stuff outside of groups of other people. There needs to be a solo self found mode in mmorpgs. Because they are fun to play, the classes are unique and awesome, they have a different feeling from other games, and there shouldn't be people acting anally retentive telling you how you should enjoy the game. Make it happen.
I have no idea what personal experience with guilds made you write that, but the idea of multi boxing a single healer for PvE purposes is interesting.
For example, levelling characters has become really boring to me: T1 is often times a matter of being spawn camped or spawn camping. I am sure more people really enjoy the latter, I find both of those experiences equally boring. Also, the RvR lockout prevents the very few who would swap side from doing so, since getting out of T1 asap is the top priority of any sane player.
T4, on the other hand, is nowadays full of warbands that have CR, or even RR, requirements, which often times leave out lowbies for the sake of having more powerful players, and this is especially true for damage dealers (DPS), who get their whole toolkit at 40 (making it understandable that they are sought after only at level cap), but who are, at the same time, the worst classes to solo PvE on (with a few exceptions, like marauders).
That said, I don't think it will happen: there are other priorities, devs have already their hands full with balance patches and whatever, and allowing multi boxing would introduce even more work for them, additional work that they don't really need at the moment.
What is needed, instead, is a clear stance on the topic of having multiple accounts: if it's tolerated or not.
Also, if multiple accounts are allowed, the lockout mechanic should be removed, since it could easily be circumvented by splitting one characters on two accounts (by making order-only and destruction-only accounts).
