Camelot Unchained opinions?

Camelot Unchained is finally out!
... in early access, on steam.

Has anyone tried it out yet? Any opinions?

Tbh i like what i am seeing but i am also coming from a very objective view (did not back kickstarter, did not hold my breath). But to call it undercooked is an understatement.

Still, it feels like there might already be enough there for the likes of us.

Not worth the price of the founder's packages, not worth your time.
I think the developers have known for a long time that this is a lost cause. Now it seems to be serving only to scam more investors.

Seems like after their recent financial backers. They are forced to put stuff out and show progress. With that said the game has potential down the cc road. I imagine it will be much better by the end of the year.

My first impression was that there is an enormous amount of work left. Even basic things like moving the camera in an empty zone felt so janky that even RoR scale fights seem unfeasible with their engine, let alone something more ambitious. The UI is in a pretty rough shape too, though this can always be fixed by the community in time, given a nice public API to work with. Honest to god I'd tolerate a lot for a fresh PvP game with some nice zones, but this just ain't it (at least not yet).

Watched few streams, visually worse than Warhammer Online and maybe even original DAoC. I sense same pattern as inperpid did for AoC.

I got banned from their discord for discussing to much about the developpement history.

There is literally a rule that say it's forbidden to talk about the dev timeline...

Also they keep comments disabled on youtube..

Crazy part is there are still investors on it, probably for the engine part.
The game is a joke anyway, and will probably need at least 5 more years to be "ok".
