Return of Reckoning

Hey there!

A friend of mine tried to get the game running today, and hes getting to the screen where to make a character and the models for the races and there are no models....

If I go on his account and make a character and then let him log back on his own account again then his new character has no model...

any idea what might be wrong? there are no errors or anything, also I cant send him my folder since hes not exactly geographically close to me. (he downloaded using the torrent if that makes any difference).

Using the torrent can cause all the files to stay in use as it's uploading in the background. If he wants to continue torrenting for us, the entire folder needs to be copied elsewhere and ran from there. Otherwise either deleting the torrent when it's finished, or breaking it by moving the folder, should fix that issue in particular.

There is a limited amount of coding that generates error messages. Generally, if it's not being caught, we don't know exactly what is causing the issue.

Cheers for the reply mate but we already tried that, moved the entire folder to a new location, still no models...

Could there be a corrupt file, but in that case what one?

Running the launcher as admin? Unchecked read-only from the file properties (war.exe, data.myp)? Whitelisted in firewall/av/windows defender?

Update graphic drivers?

Fix performance counters even though you don't have the error specific to them?

i hav ethe actual problem he was just helping me out ,alot maybe but yes i got all these in a better version don't know with the performance counters il try that right away

My friend here made me an character on the game and loged in with the acc and ofc i can't see the actual character and when i press play after a while when it loads it said Corupted files....

The Visual Studio versions are more or less unique by year. You can check for them in Add Remove Programs. I'm not sure which ones are required exactly, but make sure you have 2005, 2008, 2010 to be safe.

Try the direct download option. Unfortunately we don't do file integrity checks because it's not a real installer.

i actualy tryed to download the latest one and allready have sience i run a windows 8.1, maybe it's the windows?
