Howdy folks!
Long-time WAR veteran and Warhammer nerd here. Played WAR from beta all the way to its tragic demise, and Warhammer for 20ish years before its own tragic demise. I was never all that into the RvR side of things beyond the occasional roaming warband and castle siege. I much preferred being the guy with trade skills that were much too high for his level, converting ingredients that bigger guildies would gather into potions, talismans, etc.
WAR for me is a chance to hang out with the right sort of people and chat about the important things in life.... imaginary creatures in fictional worlds!
If you see Grondi the runepriest or Gitstick the shaman plodding about, say hi!
