[True RvR] Use all zone contents!

Having travelled over zones, climbing mountains, crossing lakes, watching textures fail I have discovered lots of stunning places like Tor Elyr (Elven city in Ellyrion), forgotten ruins, small villages, lonely towers.

Mythic has spent lots of time creating all this beauty. Unfortunately in their wisdom they have decided people will have fun playing scenarios and capturing 4 flags (keeps were not planned, testers do remember). Due to testers outrage keeps were added.
And so we run over empty zones flag to flag, capturing points of interest the Mythic have decided are somehow important. But what about the rest of the zones? They've put insanely beautiful pieces of architecture there, they've made full villages and small towns... and most of us will never ever go there. Because "why lol, RvR game, kek".

I know the idea is crazy, but what about using all the zones for RvR, adding more battle objectives for example. The question is if that is even possible, ie. if all information is in the client and it's strictly forbidden to modify it, then feel free to ignore. If it is possible, just imagine it. Dream about it.

The idea itself doesnt sound bad an extra , but how would you handle zone flips or general rvr organization if there were like 15 BOs spread around lets say ostland. youre hindered by rare fly points, handicapped by pve mobs all around certain areas (denies low lvls the access) and also there are no packets to contribute to the vp's of a zone with different flags if i see that correctly

Making the whole zone pvp and implementing new feature other then being a robot for most and doing bo's then keep would be awesome. i would love to see small scale skirmish back in the game.

I have always thought like the post's author. There are so many places all around that could be used to implement a more strategic way of do RvR, like a resource based campaign etc. I support the idea, but it is not an easy one. Assaulting the Port of Barak Varr would be so awesome... :)

Look at other games that have wide open RvR systems. Objectives in those are more than a pile of points waiting to be flipped, usually they generate some resources or give access to a reward system. Break up all of your vendors and kill-quest givers into a bunch of different areas and make people fight over the ability to buy their gear. We have green renown gear, what if an objective sold blue renown weapons? What if capturing several objectives unlocked a purple vendor with limited supplies?

Not that the code in-game can support things like this yet, but it's nice to think about.

I agree 100% with you Oldplayer but sadly i doubt it will happen.

I would enjoy seeing all these places you discovered if you are able to record some footage of them :D

that are actually good concepts but like you already acknowledged, we first need a hack for the client and we should see that there will be no issues with using it (in terms of EA being a *****)

Make it like a HUGE Battle for Praag SC. Too lazy to explain it right now (and busy) but those who know that SC will get what i'm saying.

Yup that sounds awsome but unless these places have separate zone id's and not dangerous territory etc idk if that is possible, hope im wrong.
