Heya
I just signed the petition "Games Workshop: Save Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning®" on Change.org.
It's important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link:

Thanks!

you can but seeing as sega is making a new game there's really no point seeing as it would require them giving ea their rights which means 0 profit

I agree with Kaitanaroyr. I think this server is your best chance to be able to play WAR again, long-term. I think EVERYONE who would LIKE to play WAR again should "get on board" in supporting this project.
They're not accepting donations, but to my knowledge, they are accepting HELP (that is, WORK). Even if you're not all that technical in your knowledge, folks can still help locate and report BUGS (of course, I would recommend that they go over the official bug-list first, so as to avoid duplicate reporting).
And if folks ARE technical, well, there's a recent post here suggesting they can download the database to their own PC, and start helping fix problems with the data in that. Then there's the actual coding team, which I don't know anything about. But I do remember reading a post where some small group of people were volunteering to help and were referred to somebody.
Then there's the thing I wish I knew how to do: Apparently, one could take the game's texture file and start modifying / improving the textures. Imagine if the graphics quality of the game received a boost! If you did it on trees and bushes alone, it'd be incredible!
So, there's a lot of room for help. I just hope that the LEADERSHIP behind this project keeps pushing, keeps striving (and keeps releasing occasional updates <hint-hint!>), and doesn't let this effort die.
(And yes, I'm currently mulling-over exactly how I want to contribute and how much time I can afford to put into it on a weekly basis. I have a lot on my plate right now and even more coming up in the Fall. But I've been in-game almost every night for the past month or so. And I'd like to use my enthusiasm to help the game progress somehow.)
Thanks!

It won't happen. However, you can use Sildur's "Mod" to improve the graphical fidelity of the game. We don't have time to improve the textures or replace the game engine. It's just not feasible.

Hell no.This game doesn't need a graphic boost. It looks fine, in fact it looks great. Adding normal maps or whatever else won't make it look better. It will make it look like everything else. GARBAGE! and no I'm not a purist..I just enjoy how this game stands out from all the other MMO's on the market that look like WoW / Final Fantasy hybrids. The Koreans and Chinese developers are killing the MMO market by over saturating it with cutesy looking ****. /puke
