Return of Reckoning

Can any of the devs comment on the status of this? I'm not sure what class to play when T3 comes out, and knowing how many points I will have to play around with is going to be a be factor in some cases.

Eh... his choice on how many classes he wants to play, though I do agree on the whole T3 thing... don't worry about it. It's not like you play in groups anyways.

We will be in t3 caped at 31 for a long time. The difference in 1 point can make a big difference balance wise for some classes. A lot of classes are going to want to pick up 3 abilities + a tactic in a certain tree, which is impossible at 31 with no renown mastery points.

KC was - mara-magus-engineer-magus-mara-AM-engineer-SW, I just want to narrow my class down to 1 class so i am not constantly rerolling like a jerk off, and knowing whether or not we are getting 1 point is going to effect that decision.

I think eventually they will add it, especially because it's T3 and my guess they want that stuff out before T4 comes around. After all, Renown Abilities (stats) are out and I didn't expect those to be out for a while.

I think we might get at least one mastery point because chances are, the renown cap will be 40 and that's when you get your first mastery point.

For some reason I was convinced you got one at 30, friggin advice chat :^). You get one every 10 levels from 40 on to 70.

I guess this thread is pretty stupid now

Not necessarily as you at least should get one extra point than you normally would if the renown rank is maxed at 40. Also the devs could surprise us (and I hope they do) with renown rank 50 being achievable... though that would probably come closer to T4 launch.

Or someone will have the great idea to not include that one mastery point (from rr 40) because of balance issues.

Dunno about the others but I oppose this strongly. I understand that T4 should be reserved as a milestone for when we have everything working to an acceptable standard - but I see no reason to limit T3 to 31 cap. T3 should progress all the way up to 40, until we can get T4 open - then we can use 31 cap.

Mastery point gain with RR is implemented, btw.

If I remember correctly you gained additional mastery points every 10 RRs or something after RR40, didn't you? I can't remember exactly.
