Return of Reckoning

Hi there,

I enjoy playing as a tank and like to be able to soak a lot of damage while trying to help my group. I am trying a few tank classes to see if I like them. Problem is I don't play in premades because I prefer to go my own way and I am very independent, but at the same time I like to be able to help the people I am playing with in a given sc. I am a loner but I'm not selfish, to sum up. I prefer scs to oRvR, but most of the time the group is very disorganized and I die too much because I am getting no heals, my guarded ally is suicidal, I am the only tank, etc

so far I'm liking all the tanks I'm trying but I'd like to have your input on which tank class is the most durable. Being very exposed and having unreliable heals I am aiming for the toughest survivor in the tank department. Thank you.

BG +75% toughness buff, many armor, heals and buff for reduce be crit hited it unreal fat. At t3 me just walk to zerg beat in face healer and cnock him to angry orcs

In all seriousness though, for sure BG or IB. Knight and Chosen are more utility oriented. BO/SMs....? Erm, no comment

block based tank
uncleanseable armro buf
-armor buff also regen ap
auras for overcapped resistence and also toughness
-regen wouds/ap aura in one


nothing of this requrie 1 single tactic so you can juste even add more tools

I would say that full tank Bg is one of the hardest to kill tanks late game

One of the highest magic resistances and disrupt chances
Tough buff with scaling tough tactic
Absorb shield
Nice self heal on 5s cd
Crit chance reduction up to 45%
Armor buff
And amazing serviceability with 30s of health for only 10 hate per 3 s

From my experience from live - Tesq and Djolle - so chosen and IB

RoR is not a solo game. Solo Tank in ORVR is as useless as lipstick on a Pig.

When you group, SCs and ORVR, heals help a lot.

Tanks in order of survive-ability IMO:

KOTBS
IB and BO (tie)
BG and Chosen

the rest need support classes too much

Tes has a hard-on for Knights. Sure, they are good, but it's not their tankiness that makes them good. It's their utility, as I've already pointed out.

With heals? All tanks can be close to unkillable if wearing defensive tactics/gear/talismans.

No heals? Probly BG.
