I have been wondering. When butchering, what is the % rate of getting a pigment for a dye. I have now switched from Cult to butch and back to see the drop rate. And i havent gotten any pigments from butchering.
Anyone who knows anything?

Good question...
I have one alt who I've ground Cultivating to 200, and I would say I've had around at least 30 dyes dropped.
But my Butchering alt is only at 75 and I can't recall noticing a dye dropped. We'd have to ask Butchers at level 200 to see what they found.

I've done some butchering, and I've noticed quite a few bugged items. I think a lot of those items are dyes.

The loot tables definitely are not properly working on many stages, thats also obvious on the amount of "black no image" items one can find repeadetly in some mob-types. But to let you guys know: Luth got mats for Skullwhite (or was it Chaosblack?) butchered yesterday. But they arent even working.

I think it is a chaos black component, that was actually removed from the game.

The butchering tables are not like they were on live. As far as I'm concerned the two best mobs to butcher are lizards to make armor pots, and spiders to make toughness pots. You can get things like intelligence ingredients from farming unicorns and elemental ingredients from farming daemon vines, but that's a colossal waste of time.
Cultivation is the only way to get the lions share of apothecary ingredients. And with the insane amount of resin you get it makes the gore farmed from butchering pointless. Gore should be replaced with a multiplier or extender to make butchering even remotely attractive. The fact that you cannot crit with butchering is a joke when you can indeed crit scavenging and salvaging and cultivating. Rare dye drops associated with butchering would of course make it even Steven.
