JST timezone premade or guild (order prefered) ?

Hi all,

I'm a French player who played WaR a lot back in the days when official servers were live and happily enjoying it again now that RoR brought it back to life :). While I don't mind playing solo from times to times group play on vocal is where I enjoy it the most.

Starting from November I'll work in Japan for about 2 years, and the 7 hours time difference with my home country will make it quite difficult to enjoy the game with my guildies. So considering that the game will be playable lag wise, is there some small guild or premade group that is playing in a timezone close to JST that is looking for a new member ?

I currently main a SW: Elween, but I wouldn't mind rolling another class as needed (have a few order 20ish T2 toons). Also despite my froggy errr frenchy accent on vocals, my english although not being flawless should be understandable enough ^^.

Thanks for those who took time to read through my request and see ya on the battlefield !

Thanks!
How is your RoR experience in the timezone ? Does it get lower than 200 ppl online ?

You will get to play with the super late night neets/nerds from USA and aussies. It can be pretty bad for some games, but I think you will do fine for WAR. Destro side i see critical acclaim and maybe the damned at those hours, order side sometimes nocturnal/old school. But it's pretty finicky, hopefully once T3 is out more people will get interested and that timezone will get better.

Another problem is of course the latency (300+?) You should get by fine playing RDPS, engineer/magus would be the best classes to play on high latency I would think.

population often dips to around 150 I think, sometimes even lower than 100.

Just to follow on from what Jaycub said - I play from Australia and for this reason pretty much play RDPS and healers exclusively. MDPS can be tricky, especially when both you and your target are on the move.

to be fair its pretty good all things considered. I am in beijing these days so have the added problem of connecting via a vpn to get around the great firewall of china.

evening my time lag is not bad, can get away with playing pretty much any toon. It may be my imagination but i will say that it seems lag does seem to kick in a little while before other people start noticing/qqing on chat, probably when connections get to 600+ rather than anywhere near the 750 limit.

SC's are much less laggy than the lakes and are pretty much ok whatever time i play.
