Basically, I followed this method and got WMI working properly so that the RoR launcher would launch.

Hi guys, I thought I'd make a post to ask for help since I can only find two other threads with the same issue I'm having and neither of them managed to fix my issue.

I can load the launcher, however it pushes an error pop up just before launching and then doesn't display any menu option for character creation, see:

I have done the performance counters fix to see if that was the issue, every file is set so it isn't read only and everything is running with admin permission etc. etc.
I've also downloaded a fresh data.myp provided by someone in one of the other threads to see if that would work and unfortunately it hasn't.
At this stage, is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it worth just downloading a fresh copy? I downloaded the original via the torrent link if that makes a difference.

Same problem here,

I have download the client via the three suggested methods and the same problem each time.
Someone to help us to fix it ?

Okay, I've apparently fixed this myself through lots of incredibly vague google searches; this method may or may not work for anyone else, but always worth a shot, eh?

Follow method 1, run cmd.exe as admin, follow the steps laid out, then try and run the RoR launcher again.
I'll try my best to help you guys if you need it at all.

If you see no server list or character selection, this can be caused by the following:

1. Client is trying to connect to original mythic's lobby server instead of rors. (data.myp was not updated by the patcher. Read-only issue, or not running patcher as admin).
2. Patcher did not update war.exe (read-only issue on war.exe)
3. Firewall denying outgoing access to port 8048.

Edited the original post now, but I managed to fix it guys. Thanks for the suggestions anyway, but it was something completely different than the already suggested fixes.
