Return of Reckoning

Hey all, first let me say thanks to anyone who takes the time to read or reply (preferably if you reply you'll do me the favor of reading first.)

I'm having issues getting my RoR to run due to what I can only assume is 64 bit windows problems which doesn't seem to make sense to me as the original WAR ran just fine on my PC.

I get the following error messages when trying to run the RoRlauncher.exe

I'm running as administrator and the RoRlauncher.exe is absolutely 100% in the same folder as WAR.exe

Another odd thing is that when I disable read-only mode for the files it resets them to read-only as soon as I click "okay"

any ideas?

I'm running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and don't have that issue.

Im running too on 64 bit win 10 home Premium.
No problems. Missing directx was only problem at install.
But that unchecking seems strange.

in the meantime I'm going to try downloading the MEGA version and trying that, might just be something to do with the torrented version.

Fixed the "Read only" problem which was due to ignorance, it turns out I can't actually set a whole folder to "read only" but just have to do individual files.

What it seems though is that my computer thinks WAR.exe is a 16bit application. Which it's not, at all. So I'm trying getting another copy to see if mine is just corrupted or something

Running on Windows 10 64bit without any problém. You just have to download direct X pack to make it working.

Fixed it; My WAR.exe was corrupted so it was just a bad file now I have a totally different problem

I just wanted to come back and say that I got the whole problem fixed, just in case anyone out there runs into the same problems I did

I had to redownload; simple as that. All the files got corrupted somehow and I was missing like 1/3rd of them
