disconnects whenever I enter RvR of any kind

I am having an issue where I disconnect from the game anytime I enter RvR in any form. First the opposing side or even all of my side does not load. Then other players load in. Then the game lags where I can move fine but everyone else is stationary. Then everyone disappears. Then I go back to server screen and lather rinse repeat.

I assume this is an issue on my end as other people are not experiencing it or at least to the severity I am. I am also playing on a different network since I am away from home currently and forced to use Comcast.

I have done the typical power cycle, speed test, and direct connection and nothing changed. I could not find info about the firewall ports for this game, I wasn't sure if they would be the same from live so I did not mess that yet.

Anyone have experience or tips to try to fix this? I am confident that it is an issue with my connection/ISP and not the actual game servers.

Can you try using a VPN? That would eliminate the ISP being a **** about you playing.

Just sounds like lag. Maybe you are throttled on your max utilization of bandwidth.

Check a few sites that can verify your line speed.

Don't forget the basics, as they may apply to you.
-update MoBo, GPU drivers
-check firewall/anti virus permissions
-Ensure O/S updated to current
-Disc clean
-Defrag (appropriate drive type)
-O/S anti virus, AND...
-aftermarket malware scan
-ATF cleaner, includes:
-cache
-prefetch
-all temp files
-Clear SSL state
-use VoIP other than Vent (huge CPU footprint)
-turn off music player
-turn down RoR's visual effects
-update router firmware, ensure it's secure
-if Comcast, run speed tests that THEY PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO because of the rating and comments one can leave, even on the free online test sites
-if you're wireless, stop the insanity and go all hard-wired, especially in a signal-heavy neighborhood
-download "Sawbuck" from Google and ensure it's running before you begin playing; immediately after CTD copy log and investigate failures
-check your Event Log for your rig
-consider gently, thoroughly cleaning accumulated dust/hair/crap out of your tower
Good hunting. :geek:
