Mordheim: City of the Damned is the adaptation of the arguably cult classic tabletop game Mordheim. It is set in the Empire City of Mordheim, ca. 500 years before the present days in the Warhammer Fantasy. Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based game where you lead small warbands into skirmishes. As you are struggling in the battle for mysterious, yet powerful Wyrdstone fragments, you capture key neighborhoods of the City of Mordheim and your band evolves getting new items and abilities. Currently, you can choose from 4 warbands - Skaven Clan Eshin, Human Mercenaries from the Empire, Sisters of Sigmar and Cult of the Possessed

The game is being developed by Rogue Factor and is published by Focus. The official release date should come this November (Steam, Official Site). Although Focus is known for a publishing of half-baked games, there are some jewels (especially Divinity II and Divinity: Original Sin).

Focus is also known for obtaining licences for tabletop games from GW, including Blood Bowl (a decent game), Battlefleed Gothic, Space Hulk and Mordheim.

You can play as skaven! Seems worth trying.

I've been keeping my eye on this, but as usual, they seem to be nickle'n'dime us on the warbands. Only 4 at the moment isn't there? And non of my fave warbands are in yet, Undead and Witch Hunters.

So I'll wait till it's on Steam sale.

I know a skaven fanboi on the guild who will definitely like this

This project looks promising, imao fits me bewtter then Vermin Tide.
Im wonder, if they give some real good number of equipment.
Its any chanse for individualization of toons ? Thats important to me, perma death pains more in such situations,:)

It is possible to change weapons (weapon type and combinations) and there are two set slots (main / alternate weapon set). Armor can be changed and there is are slots in the inventory for trinkets and items (the customization is similar to WarHammer Fantasy Battle tabletop).

You can also buy proficiency, abilities and spell sets for points (after level up). The system for ability upgrades tends to be similar to Blood Bowl.

So customization is definitely here (but could be deeper, at least at cosmetic department).

My thoughts, exactly... It reminds me the original Blood Bowl game :-/
