IT IS NOT ABOUT THE WEBSITE - IT IS ABOUT THE HORRIBLE TREATMENT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED IT IS ONE THING SAYING -"nice try bud, but it just ain't working" BUT IT IS ANOTHER THING BOMBARDING SOMEONE WITH HOSTILITY AND ANGER FOR TRYING TO INNOVATE - UNTIL THIS THREAD I WOULD LIKE JUST ONE PERSON TO TELL ME ONE NEGATIVE STATEMENT THAT I HAVE SAID TO ANYONE EVEN WHEN BEING DIRECTLY INSULTED BY MANY - BUT IT IS NOT ONLY ME - THE COMMUNITY CHAT HAS BEEN FULL OF HOSTILITY TO ONE ANOTHER

Hi Guys.

I started playing Warhammer on the official servers in early Beta in 2008. Warhammer was a very important part of my life and I made some life time friends in warhammer, I even ended up marrying one of them.

I always loved Warhammer specifically for the community but in RoR I have been met with a ton of horrible people that have literally been rude every time that I log on.

I have been treated with disdain and furthermore I have been ridiculed for my attempts at improving on the Social aspects on WAR.

For example, 3 weeks ago on every post there was a thread about having a public Team Speak channel and the devs could not budget it... So I started paying out of my own pocket and advertised it everywhere, on these forums and on all the groups. Everyone knows about it, yet nobody uses it??? What am I wasting my time for???

This website is a forum. That is good. The developers have done an amazing thing with this website - it is easy to navigate and as a forum it serves it's purpose, however this website has probably got 5% of the functionality of my
warhammer website. The number of features that I have created surpasses this simple forum by leagues as my functionality is the duplication of the Official Elder Scrolls Online Guild Management Website, functionality that did not even exist on official war.

Yet, nothing, the only person that has truly engaged with me is the EA developer. Even the War dev's have been critical of me.

I did not do this because I wanted to make money or try to run the community. I did this because I spent about 3 weeks reading the forums and trying to put together a website based on what the community was asking the RoR developers for.

The RoR developers are amazing, but they are just a small team working for non profit purposes, so I thought I would be selfless and actually give back to the community and help the developers.

But no - I am yet to get one suggestion in the suggestion box of the website.

YES THERE HAVE BEEN MANY MANY BUGS ON MY WEBSITE, but the situation is that it is a BETA. That does not mean that you guys can mock me in game for trying to help.

Even the Devs have looked at me CAUTION, like what is this weird guy doing?

But it's not only me, everybody is horrible to each other, I mean just look at the /advice chat from time to time, there is always someone arguing or ripping someone else off. Even when the developers are online??? Is that not against the rules of the Terms of Use? I mean seriously guys, what happened to 'Pink for Tink' spirit and all that Jazz that dominated original war?

I am going to make an appeal to the community, at least make an attempt to be nice to me and take a real proper look at the 100's of features that my website has for guild and event management or I am going to shut it down and disappear like you probably all want me to do, which includes the free Team Speak!!

Yes RoR is legal, no EA cannot shut it down because of a new law that forces EA to allow their source code as freeware, I have linked this many times on the forums, I am not linking it again...In fact theres is no link to my website.

I am simple very upset and I want answers? I mean I am supposed to be on holiday so I thought I would do something nice for a community that gave me so much in original WAR... But instead the nicest compliment that I have received has been, thanks for the TS, your website looks terrible and nobody is going to use the TS because you don't have enough channels or space... OMG - I provide this for free!!! Seriously???

And to be quite fair, obviously the developers are making money out of this to pay for their servers... They are running Google Adverts & Youtube Adverts all over the place. Now yes, they are probably doing this because they are trying to pay for the server costs which are expensive but they have forgotten that it was my idea. I emailed them over a year ago and had a conversation with the only developer working on this project at the time and explained to him that with his hit base, the adverts could fund the servers. I even linked them international internet law and how IP operates legally (An American Legal Firm Specializing in Ip protection on the internet)

Why do you think that I am trying to make the community bigger? I am running social media campaigns all over the place - the more hits the developers get, the more google ads & youtube video's are sold = better servers + more developers. Why is it that you can attack me, but you don't attack all those guys that are making youtube video's with thousands of subscribers? I am not the only one doing this??? I have generated thousands of hits, thousands for RoR

Already, I have influenced the capacity of the developers to deliver, yet they probably have not even put 2 and 2 together & realized it was me... I was offered (Well he / she was entertaining) a dev role here a long time ago when this whole thing first started...Although I am not sure if it was RoR or WAREmu to be fair...but I was unable to do anything about it at the time because of time constraints

You are upset because people don't use your teamspeak? Many people here play with friends and guildies, so they have their own.

You are upset because people dont want to use your website? Why would I want to? Everything I need I can find here or on the wiki, I found it ridiculous in the first place, why split the forums up instead of having it all in one place?

You are upset because of trash talk.... well this one I feel I can help out with. People don't like it, people get upset, but why? Why get upset over something somebody said over the internet? Trash talk is an integral part of every mmo, you need it. You do not want a game where everything is all rainbows and flowers and everybody loves everybody, that is just flat out dull and boring. You need people to trash talk, it makes things more fun and people can laugh, If you take trash talk to heart then you need to lighten up, the majority of it is done in fun and should be seen that way. Ill be completely honest and say that if people are actually going to get banned for trash talk, even if its aimed at a dev, that's just silly imo.

You say the attitude is different compared to live, I disagree entirely, I think its the same, I remember playing and people would talk crap to each other all day, its how War was. especially when the game was first released.

Sorry but it just seems you're upset that your time has gone to waste, when nobody asked you to do it in the first place, maybe you could have done a little research to know if would have been used to the amount that you wanted before you did all of this?

@Yoda - Will this suggestion be for him to take his website and shove it somewhere?

I like your website and find it extremely useful, even if I don't understand the purpose of some things like... forum. We have 1 forum here, what's the point of the second? But maybe having it's own forum is mandatory for any website... Some kind of tradition. Regardless, for beta your site looks very nice. Even one look is enough to see how much effort was put into it.
Some people mock you for bugs? Well... humans can be terrible creatures sometimes.
But know what? It's common problem for any dev in the world. Don't our devs face the same agressive and ungrateful attitude from some players every day? You just have to deal with it and ban ignore them
Regarding /advice, are you playing destros or order? From my experience, destro community is more hostile and prone for trolling.

Thanks zabis - I appreciate it You have not yet given me a reason why I am so disliked... SERIOUSLY what have I ever done - name just one negative comment that I have made to anybody when I have been blasted. For heavens sake I spoke to you on my website yesterday when you signed up and you where friendly to me... now you are telling me to shove it... What am I missing?

I don't get why are you upset , you cannot force ppl to use your forum, most war player never gone on official forum on live as well and wont be different here. If you think that your forum could became something similar to war-alliage forum well that's big aim you have... you cannot expect to reach it in so few time.
Also even if the addition of the vocal chat is nice, ppl wont use it cos have their own guild vocal chat or use it not at all.
About the ppl behaviour i agree with you some should really get some punch in da face, they really got too few when they were young. But originally the war community was like there and unless dev do something in regard and i dont think (not at least in near future with an alpha server), it will remain this way.
IF you really like keep up that forum/website do it, it's something yours in that matter, other ppl cannot dicate you what do.
Remember that ppl are ungratefull ; you dont know how many ppl bother to remember the bad aspect of the game and couldn't saw what big work was done until now, i followed this project from when the server was up and you cannot image how many "hate threads "were done for server being incomplete.

I have looked at you're website, and ill be frank I don't like it, not the layout, not anything, to put it blunt. I've seen you post on the forums every time a new feature was available on you're website and I keep asking myself the same thing, if you're website is so much better, then surely it would receive more traffic, or better, why don't you just ask the web dev's here to take a look and perhaps incorporate you're ideas into the ROR website itself, instead of splitting the forum users apart, and keep them under one roof.

The player base/forum activity here is small already, I find it a waste of time to try and split it further. And at the end of the day if you're website was so superior you would not be making this post, and the fact you keep suggesting people to sign up just makes me hate it even more.
