Unable to connect

So, I've downloaded the game as well as the RoR patcher as outlined in registering a new account. Unfortunately every time I try and connect to the game it gives me this error:

Could not connect to Login server
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 178.32.58.46:8000
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(IPAddress[] addresses, Int32 port)
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Connect(String host, Int32 port)
at RoRLauncher.Client.Connect()

I have closed out and restarted the RoR patcher a dozen times or more and even restated my pc a few times. I have also looked under the "newbie" sticky on how to overcome errors and I have not been able to find a solution. Please help.

Ah. I picked a great time to try and come back amidst the DDOS and all. I was really hoping it was just me and not the servers.

Apparently the DDOS is over and we are just waiting for someone with access to the physical servers to do something, which are in France It's 4 am there :(

No longer a DDOS issue. Just waiting for things to get poked by people with access to the hardware. That's a short list.
