I didn't realize how much i missed this game tbh. It was the 18th December last night and after watching some ingame videos on youtube i realized that when the servers got shut down exactly 2 years ago it left a hole somewhere.... I ordered the collectors edition back then, with the comic book and all and i still have the original disks... I recall how awesome it all started with everyone WAAAGH'ing on their open beta day 1.
And while i was not at all happy with the way the game was handled, not going f2p, not receiving enough attention and population on the server which really makes the game aweseome (the more the merrier really is true for this one),
i did not know how much i missed being able to return to it, even if it meant paying 13 bucks or so for the pleasure.
The atmosphere, the sense of something interesting happening in every part of the world, just generally feeling the Warhammer universe in it's raw and simple beauty from a third person perspective was always worth having a go back to.
And seeing the community has been busy keeping it alive even after the devs abandoned it, makes me hope that just perhaps someone maybe will pick up the pieces, get some corporate funding and revive and market it on an entirely new scale.
So thank you for being so damn loyal to this game and sharing the passion for it and keeping it alive.
I'm glad to Waaaagh again.
